Hours: 37 hours per week x 40 weeks per year

About the Role

It is an exciting time to be joining the Academy of Pre-Technical and Skills for Living and Work. As an area of growth, you will be joining a team of people committed to helping those who are disadvantaged grow in confidence and realise their potential through learning.

As a personal tutor in our dynamic & rewarding Pre-Technical and Skills for Living and Work department, you’ll be a key part of ensuring an amazing learner experience in a highly successful provision.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Delivery of high-quality and impactful student contact time through a mix of group tutorials tailored to the group, and further 1:1s or small group tutorials.
  • Play a key role in ensuring all learners have the best possible experience at the college through the induction, tutorial and enrichment activities.
  • Check that all academy students’ wider support needs are being met, including SEND
  • Improve outcomes for all academy students through formal 1:1s and other pastoral interventions
  • Improve and maintain positive destinations of students
  • Ensure robust and appropriate parent/carer liaison 
  • Actively promote and embody the college’s FREDIE values of fairness, respect, equality, diversity and engagement.
