Rate of Pay : £16p/h Assessing £25p/h IQA.
Contract: Zero-hour contract - Flexible

About the Role
Sheffield College is looking for a part-time Dementia and End of Life Care Exams Assessor to join the team. This rewarding role forms part of our exciting transformation in employability and professional training, where we have introduced online courses to our college’s offerings. We are seeking someone to collaborate with our fantastic Online Learning Team on a fixed-term contract as an Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer for the Level 2 and 3 certificate qualifications delivered via our online learning platform (EQUAL). With ambitious plans for this area, we’re looking for someone to help us on this exciting journey.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in assessing and supporting students aged 19+. As part of the role, you may be required to work some evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsibility for an agreed caseload of students and to ensure successful completion of the full programme
• Act as main point of contact for students, providing feedback on progress as required
• Assess learner’s competence and provide feedback in line with appropriate industrial and qualification standards, and record assessment outcomes
• adheres to exam board regulations and marking specifications
Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of Dementia and End of life care
• Relevant Level 3 or above qualification in Health and Social Care
• Internal Quality Assurance of assessment qualification (desirable for assessing, essential to IQA work).

• Highly motivated, adaptable, and professional approach
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• IT skills, attention to detail, and efficient time management
• Ability to work flexibly and to deadlines
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
